How does API integration work?
An application programming interface (API) allows two applications to communicate with each other. APIs allow software applications to share data, for example, or allow you to access the functionality of a third-party system from a custom application.
For example, you can use an API to allow your email marketing software and customer relationship management (CRM) software to share data. You can also use an API to add a geolocation feature to your app.
API integration services involve connecting two applications through APIs so that they can communicate with each other. Data integration services involve connecting data sources, perhaps using APIs, as well as extracting, organizing and delivering the data.
